Always remember all bikes and scooters are welcome at all CMSR
(Classic Motorcycle & Scooter Riders) events.

The weather may not have been great last week, but we managed to get
both dinner rides in.

Thursday night was our normal first of the month visit to D and
Laura's restaurant, Coots BBQ. We only had five bikes show up for the
ride from the William's store. Fireman Jim on his 1986 Gold Wing, Side
car Bill on his 2006 Suzuki Burgman 650 scooter, Jim C. on his 2005
Gold Wing, new guy Kenny on a 2000 Kawasaki KZ1000 Police bike and I
rode my 1978 Honda Hawk. We four more bikes meet us there, Steve on
his Honda VTX1800, a gentleman on a Honda Valkyerie and I don't recall
what the other bikes were or who were riding them. There were a lot of
bike riders in attendance at Coots, besides our normal crowd that
includes our group and the Iron Messengers, a CMA chapter was meeting
in the North room. I think a good time by all.

Sunday we had eight bikes and ten riders, Fireman Jim & Shirley on
their vintage Gold Wing, D & Laura Coots, Bob on his Suzuki M109R,
Sandy on her Suzuki M50, Sam on his Suzuki M109R, Curby on his Honda
Magna, Anne on her Suzuki SV650 and I rode my Honda Hawk. The day was
full of trivia, first we had 4 vintage bikes (20 years or older) and
all of the were Honda's. Next we had 4 modern bikes and all were
Suzuki's. Last the restaurant we rode to was the Boundary on 66 near
Luther, it turns out the owner was Anne's cousin, we had no idea
before we walked into the place and Anne recognized her. The Boundary
is a neat little BBQ place and I think everyone enjoyed the food. The
ride to and from the Boundary was very nice, in fact I was wishing it
hadn't been so short, but Anne and I did have some things to take care
of Sunday afternoon.

Please not that I have changed the schedule for next Sunday, we will
be going to Chandler for Mexican food instead of the Delta Café in
Shawnee.
