Re: Alarm woes continued.

Well, for now its the 7.5 #28 that I'll pull until I think of something better
to do. I might play around with setting it and bumping into the doors and trunk
lid and whatever other motion i can think of to set it off and go from there.

I may also leave it sitting with the extra key in the ignition and locked with
the security still on to see if that over rides it going off at all hours.

I've got my wire knippers, strippers and soldering tools and I'm ready to
amputate that panic alarm. Its called bifurcate, truncate and re-wire.

Ed.

The #28 is the security/powerlock breaker on a 2002, (thanks Brent) and will de-activate the panic alarm but the downside is the loss of the powerlock system...

I suppose pulling that horn relay would be a decent fix, so long as it doesn't completely disable the horn. Not sure about that. Otherwise, if you want the...

Ed, the alarm isn't triggered by motion. It is ONLY triggered by a door or hood opening or unlocking without a key (or remote)....

Yes, understood, I thought that by chance if i jarred or firmly tapped the doors and other places that I might get an idea of what sensor/switch was bad. The...

Okay, yesterday I was looking out my window at the xterra and it went off again. 1pm, no cats, zombies or dwarfs or anyone around. After shutting off the thing...
