Re: Alarm woes continued.

I dont have any remotes, never did.

I'll have to run through the whole routine this weekend.

I'll check #28.

For now I'll either do the pulling battery terminal thing or pull the horn fuse.

I can't chance this anymore. I cant get to sleep at night thinking about the
thing going off etc.
I cant park any where without being close by for fear of the thing going off.

What a mess.

2000 and 2004 version.

Not gonna do you much good to pull those.

Well, it went off again at 1AM again and this is disturbing even my distant neighbors. I did a search on the factory alarms for the xterra and found that other...

Ed, I'd try removing the batteries from your remotes next in case they're somehow activating randomly. The troubleshooting section in the service manual for...

The #28 is the security/powerlock breaker on a 2002, (thanks Brent) and will de-activate the panic alarm but the downside is the loss of the powerlock system...

I suppose pulling that horn relay would be a decent fix, so long as it doesn't completely disable the horn. Not sure about that. Otherwise, if you want the...

Well, for now its the 7.5 #28 that I'll pull until I think of something better to do. I might play around with setting it and bumping into the doors and trunk...

Ed, the alarm isn't triggered by motion. It is ONLY triggered by a door or hood opening or unlocking without a key (or remote)....

Yes, understood, I thought that by chance if i jarred or firmly tapped the doors and other places that I might get an idea of what sensor/switch was bad. The...
