Yep I guess just my luck =( and I do think there is a lemon law here in Oregon
if they are unable to fix the problem. I really like the car... It is a new 2007
Dark Blue SL with a sun roof that opens, Black leather.... I added the fin and
new wheels ( I was hoping it might had been the old wheels and tires that made
the noise but sad to say no.) The asking price for the car was $33,000 almost
$34,000 but was able to purchase it for $28,333. It had 109 miles on it. On the
test drive I did not notice the roaring sound but did on the way home. It was
just a slight roar and thought it must be the tires on the road. The roar is
worse now and last weekend I was looking at an Acura TL if this problem can not
be fixed and they dont replace my car. Acura offered me $28,000 for this car if
I wanted to trade it in.

out of 2000 or more Maximas have that
problem and you were unlucky enough to get the one. THey should be
able to fix it and if after several attempts they can't, they should
order/replace your car. You should also check if your state has a
"lemon law" that governs situations like that and what your rights are
under that law.
Just curious, what color and model did you get, I believe you said
somewhere you got the SL?

parts have been ordered and I really hope this takes care of the

wanting a Maxima for years and now that i purchased a perfect color
and the car looks great I have this roar in the car. Keeping my
fingers crossed! David

have an 07 and have about 16k miles on it ... Bought it in Feb 07...
No problems such as the one you have described but my tire pressure
warning light has been replaced once... They call it the BCM.... Other
than that it's been a great car

with me...most of the responses have been guys saying that I should
NOT have purchased the car. The nissan tech did ride with me but could
not hear the noise.....he was (and I'm not kidding) at least 400 lbs
and I dont know if the weight made a difference but the noise went
away with him in the car. I can not tell where the sound is coming
from ( funny how sounds travel) but I do feel it is on the left side
(passenger side). One person said it might be the bearings? The noise
seems to be getting worse and I have another app with Nissan next week
for another tech to see if he can find what is going on. I put the
question out to see if I could get some ideas to give them. If you
have any questions please feel free to ask. I appriciate your help.
