Thank You for getting back with me...most of the responses have been guys saying
that I should NOT have purchased the car. The nissan tech did ride with me but
could not hear the noise.....he was (and I'm not kidding) at least 400 lbs and I
dont know if the weight made a difference but the noise went away with him in
the car. I can not tell where the sound is coming from ( funny how sounds
travel) but I do feel it is on the left side (passenger side). One person said
it might be the bearings? The noise seems to be getting worse and I have another
app with Nissan next week for another tech to see if he can find what is going
on. I put the question out to see if I could get some ideas to give them. If
you have any questions please feel free to ask. I appriciate your help.

You dont give enough of a description, but I would
speculate that it could be a loose hanger or connector
in the exhaust pipe or its shield(s) or something
related to the drive sections.
Suggest that you have someone with you, roll down the
windows, put your head out and listen to where it is
coming from. Then try moving parts in the area (dont
burn yourself) to see if anything is touching another
metal piece or the chassis.
Technically those guys at the Nissan dealership ought
to go WITH YOU and let the mechanic hear it for
himself. :-(
