Hehe. Actually I was making fun of the rules themselves, not you. I hate
rules. Anyway it would suck if they didn't let you in for something minor
like that. Good idea to make sure you're covered.

Telling people you drive a Nissan truck is always a little risky,
especially around junk yards, because most of them are Ford/Chevy/Dodge
bigots. When I went looking for mine I had to explain that a hook from a
big GM would fit on my Nissan. Fortunately for most things they just send
you back in the yard to look for yourself, which I happily did. I know
what I want, and I can find it myself.

Is there something actually in the way or is the frame just not exactly
flat? This seems to be common and mine was the same way. The frame (on
mine) is not quite perfectly flat. When the hook was tightened down
though it conformed to the shape of the frame so it's not a big deal.

Not at all. What year did you say your truck was? I have a 2000 so
that's what my experience is from.

Hehe! When I went out for the first time (about 2 months ago) all I knew
was that most people considered the place we were going to be tame. So I
wasn't expecting anything too exciting. That quickly changed when I saw a
full view of the spare tire under the truck in front of me as it was going
over a little hill. It looked like it dropped off a cliff! Fortunately I
had someone experienced with me to guide me through the harder spots.
And speaking of pictures, here are some from that trip:

I'm driving the blue Frontier.

Me too. I want to get a second beater/commuter vehicle just in case I
break something major on the truck. But I haven't been able to justify
the extra insurance payments.

You're welcome. Keep writing, this is much more fun than actually
working.
