Don’t believe the rumors, they were never true – the Vegas Rally is a Go-Go!
Many connoisseurs of the former glitz and old school Vegas have been asking for an ALL downtown rally for years, and in only four months High Rollers Rally will be hitting the “down & dirty” old Vegas hard.Once again we will be pulling some Aces out of our sleeve and have a great weekend lined up.
Friday night will offer up Back Alley Block Party. We will close off the alleyway between the Downtown Bar and the Beauty Bar, park our scooters, and have our own party.DJs will be spinning in both bars.
Saturday Night will be held in the one of the best rooms in Vegas. The Plaza is letting us use their old style Rat Pack Copa Room which has tiered levels, rounded booths overlooking the dance floor/stage, and more style that the original Rat Pack themselves. It does not get anymore old school than this!
In addition there will be the great rides, music, DJs,Karaoke, raffle, scooter dyno, and bands. It’s Vegas baby – fun anyway you want it!All info will be updated:
We will be staying at two Hotels and have dedicated scooter parking. Both hotels are at the end of the Fremont Experience with easy street access from Main St.
Golden Gate – a tiny 90+ room Victorian Style Hotel with small, yet really nice rooms. We will use their parking lot for scooter parking, so it is very convenient. Will sell out!
Rate Room: Wed, Thur and Sunday $20Fri/Sat $69 (+ tax/fees)
Las Vegas Club – a more modern hotel with larger rooms, yet still small enough for us.It will be easy to bounce back and forth between The Las Vegas Club and the Gold Gate.Hotel has a few nice bars and spots to eat.
Rate Room: Wed, Thur and Sunday $35Fri/Sat $75 (+ tax and stuff)
SCOOTER BUILD OFF
This year’s Scooter Build Off was one of things that made Vegas a great rally; the best builders competed on a national level for the first time.2009 was a big success and the Paisans want to do it again. This year was the kick off year and it offered up some great projects, let’s see what great things show up in 2010. There is still time to jump in, so sign up, prove you are just starting your project and finally do that dream scooter you’ve been thinking about!
This weekend is the same as NASCAR weekend; apparently some scooterists have an interest in this.Regardless, it should make old downtown real colorful!!Additionally, the Vegas rally is open to everyone (over 21) and there will be events to make it great for all attendees.A full schedule, details, hotel discount code and updates will soon be available on the rally website: www.HighRollersWeekend.com. Come and enjoy, but
don’t spoil it for others.
Sent a IM message to you but did not get through. I would like to meet some people that ride and like to get out and have a good time. I would also like to meet a guy / people that ride and have other similar interests. Hit the road early and ride all day, but always nice to get out at night too be it on bike or not. I like nude rallies and have fun.

Some guy is wanting to get rid of a Vespa GTS 250 he just won (posted 15min

Hello Everyone,
As much as this may sound like a joke, it's not. I won a 2009 Vespa Scooter
valued at 6K. That means I get my choice of any GTS250 scooter that I want. I
can also pay the $200 and get the 300 Super.
So, my question here is anyone interested in buying the scooter at a reduced
cost and being able to pick out the color?
I'm 6'4 and I am not interested in the scooter.
If no one has any interest it will be auctioned on EBay.
Let me know your thoughts.
Thanks,
BQuick

I'll have the RV, and I have saddlebags. You have a trailer. We'll figure it
out. :-)

Very cool, isn't it? But wow, eight grand for something that will only go 40 miles without a charge will be a hard sell in this country. In Europe, there are pay electric meters, sort of like parking meters, in some places. You can zip to work, plug your scooter in, and be good to go again soon. But what do you do here, with recession and losing jobs already so close in people's minds....uh, boss, can I run a lead cord out the door to my scooter? Another thing I think about Europe, where scooters rule, is that there is public transportation everywhere. It's as easy as pie to hop on a train and head to another town if it's beyond the range of your scooter. Here, everybody wants to travel so far. I wonder if the batteries cost as much as the ones for cars do. That was a real bugaboo at first, with salesmen telling people they were cheap, and then owners finding out later they were thousands or whatever. Stuff like that doesn't help people trying to sell other electric! vehicles, which is a shame. Wouldn't it be great to be able to test ride one of these things? I'd even pay.
I test rode one at Americade last year. It was ok but was a little heavy. When you twisted the throttle backwards it worked as a brake of reverse if you were stopped.

While I'm laid up, I've been amusing myself with these videos. These two started
out with 2 Chinese scooters, then one died. They continued riding two-up,
pulling a bicycle trailer. Little wonder, that also died. One rider went back to
CA, the other continued on a donated Kymco 125cc.
