Hello all! (Am new to the group.)
I have the 2004 Solara convertible. Got it new and it's still nearly
perfect. Always garaged too. (It just turned 30K on the ODO.)
But I need some ideas on a problem that is slowly starting to manifest.
It's not too bad yet, but I first noticed a clicking in the steering
wheel when I make a slow tight turn. Sounds like a binding/snap sound
in the steering suspension. It reverberates thru the steering column.
It still remains subtle and doesn't happen every time.
Could this be a pending failure of the CV joints?
Also, if it is a CV joint...any recomendations on a place to buy
replacemnt parts for it? (Besides from dealers.)
Any ideas would be appreciated.
Burt
