NBeast is on for 2006, and will be held in Durham, NC on Columbus Day
weekend, October 7-8th.

Why might you want to come to Durham?

Well, we're glad you asked!

There's the Starlite Drive-In (http://www.saveourstarlite.org/), one of
our local treasures. There's nothing lovelier than spending a
beautiful fall evening with a bunch of fellow Beetle owners outside in
the country, and the Starlite offers just that. We'll picnic at the
Starlite on Saturday evening and give the kids a reason to slug each
other silly!

There is, of course, NBeast itself! We've secured one of the nicest
car show locations I've ever seen-- Durham Central Park
(http://www.durhamcentralpark.org/) is building a covered pavilion
which will be completed in time for the show. That's where the show
cars will park-- under a roof! The park is spacious and beautiful
and it's all reserved for us on Sunday.

You may be aware that in North Carolina, we take barbecue seriously.
Very seriously. We'd be remiss if we didn't show NBeast attendees
some southern hospitality-- so we're going to have a local 'cue
restaurant provide a catered lunch for all attendees. Mmm, mmm,
tasty!

On Sunday evening, we'll go out to one of our favorite local
restaurants.

We're also working on another activity that I *really* wish I could
tell you about, because it's so cool... but we don't know if we can
work it out, so I don't want to get hopes up....
