Welcome to the European MX-5 Group

The group was created to enable all Mazda MX-5 enthusiasts to share information. It is independent and not connected with the UK MX-5 Owners Club.

If you have a question which is likely to be of a routine nature, please consult the archive first, which can be found on the group homepage http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/mx-5. Your question may well be answered there.

Please enter a concise yet explicit subject (eg not just "problem"), and please try and stick to one subject per post.

Recognise that the technical knowledge of people replying to your post may vary considerably. Any work you do, or have done, to your car as a result of a reply or post on this list is your responsibility. You should check technical advice with an independent source, and take local specialist advice from a qualified engineer who has actually seen your car if in any doubt.

When replying to mail, please trim out unnecessary text, especially from previous messages and replies.

Attachments to emails are automatically removed – use the files/photos area instead. A limited amount of advertising of cars, parts and services is tolerated, but please do not abuse the privilege and if you sell such items or services as part of a business please append the suffix "[T]" to the subject or your name to avoid confusion.

Try not to react to provocative messages, and please keep reasonably on-topic - consider whether your message is likely to be of interest to MX-5 owners in general. Please try to avoid irrelevant comments. If you do wish to post a message about a non-MX-5 related matter, please add the acronym "(NMC)" to the subject (stands for "No MX-5 Content"). This enables list members to filter mail appropriately (check your email program "Help" for how to filter mail).

When replying to messages, check the entries in the "To:" box in your composition window - consider where your reply should be directed - to the list or to an individual.
