Hey everybody Check out the M718 that Darryl
Bauman and his father restored.I just added two photos
of the M718 to the photo album and man is that a
purty MUTT------------------------------------otter
Sorry Otter, Its the only one I have and had to
buy it from the guy that outbid me on it! Lets find a
source and let all the MUTT and ZONE members know so we
each have one! They actually are sold Quite often at
Auction so somebody has a pile of em. They commonly were
issued with Wreckers so the big truck guys should have
em.
Also there is a picture in a recent(or latest)
issue of JP Magazine. As for the Hummers, two page ad
in the most recent Supply Line. Very cool but I'm
not in the market for one right now.

Rustman
I checked the mil pubs database and came up with a M656-5 ton 8x8. Looked for
1/4 ton 6x6 but no luck. The M151'S are still there, I thought it would be.
Thanks arhhhbuckooo! check out the next one! to bad you can't set em up to
automatically rotate, could change em evry so often, or have a vote on one
official pic. any ideas out there?
Very intersting Darryl, I've seen pics before I think in MV MAGAZINE. I am
checking net for pic to post. Must have been experimental.. hey i know were to
check..get back to y'all
The military did build & test a few 6x MUTTs.
I've seen one.It was at the Findlay, Ohio MV 2 years
ago. Called a M656?, I think. It differed from the
recent picture in the rear fender opening area. It was
also based on a M151a1. It had a data plate & all of
the "official" stuff. I just wish I would have had my
camera......
Darryl
Thanks Cutworm!
I was very proud of it! What you saw was immediately
following its sale. I finished it for the buyer. And did not realize what that
meant till it was gone!
RUSTMAN, I CHECKED SAM'S SITE TO SEE IF THEY CLAIMED ANY MUTT6X6, BUT NO LUCK.
THEY ARE HAVING A BIG M151 PARTS AUCTION IN JUNE OF 2000, AND ssshh! HMMV'S?
CHECK OUT THE LINK!
Hey Rustman!
I've seen them pop up before,
very rare. I do not think Ford or AM General ever made
them but a place in texas (Sam's Surplus)I suspect
made them and exported most, from M151 demils. Anybody
else know anything?
