NDT, Not to question your diagnostic results, but you are sure that you applied 12 volts AND a fresh ground (wire to the chassis) to the pump circuit connector...

Well, since I own both a '92T & an '84 P-type, I think I can offer this opinion... I think the 92's seats are WAAAAAY more comfortable than the MK2 seats!!!...

Billy, ... Not a direct bolt on, the mounting holes do not line up. You will need to fabricate some brackets so that that seats will line up with the mounting...
