Final tally. Since Christmas...18" of new snow
here. From Wednesday to Friday-15". That's an official
measurement in Zimmerman, about 11 miles from here. Now, if
all those punks driving their lil trucks and those
pull back cars would get off MY road....LOL....we
could have some real fun.
Hi Rick! back online again! We have had so far 24" of the stuff.(and as I type
still coming down). This is more than we have had total for the last 3
winters.!!<br>Jeep Weather for sure!<br>OC
That 5-8" is on top of the 10" we got since
Christmas. I'm just north of the TC, and it's nice to see
the sedans and lil trucks getting out of the way, for
once. I was hoping for a little sonw to play
in.....this is ridiculous. Fun, but ridiculous.
Looks like you get your wish today, my friend :D
5-8 inches today, depending on where you live, and
more on the way by the weekend I believe! In the TC
we're already looking at an inch at 8:20 am (just about
an hour after it started), and it's showing NO signs
of letting up yet!! This is a good thing too - maybe
now all of those morons with sedans and light trucks
will get the hell outta my way ;) Let the big dog
eat!<br><br>Jeeplass
Snow? It's going to be -20 or colder in Minnesota overnight. It was either -28
or -32, depending on who you ask, this morning, Christmas morning. I'll trade
you that for about a foot of snow.
Attention boys and girls.....<br>Jeep announced
the date and cost for Camp Jeep 2001. It's July
26-28, 2001, in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of
Virginia. Cost is $295/ Jeep. The official announcement is
at www.jeepunpaved.com
I have a videotape of the TRUCK show that had the waterproofing your Jeep for
deep water segment in it. I'll try to make it available to anyone who would
like to see it.
Having priced replacement seats for my YJ, I
found them to be quite expensive. I found a set of
seats from a Ford Aerostar minivan that are even the
same color as mine, and are much more comfortable, for
me. They sit a little high, so a shorter person might
not like them, but other than grinding a small amount
of material from one side of the frame, they bolted
right in. I am going to shim the back of them up,
slightly, to raise the back up, and move them forward,
also. My guess would be that other minivan seats might
also fit, perhaps even those from a Dodge or Plymouth,
to keep it in the Chrysler family. If any of you try
this, post the results for us all. One last
thing....replacement Jeep seats are sold from around $20-$150, I paid
$40 for both the Ford seats.
I don't know how many of you are members of
"TREAD lightly", but I think it should be a requirement
for anyone who drives their vehicle anywhere but on
road. I am currently a member and would encourage you
to all join it. You can find their web address in
the links for this club. Thanks, <br>Rick90YJ

If you're looking for someone to go fourwheeling
with, check in "www.dirtroad.com". Scroll down the page

and select the state you want...go have some fun.
From Peterson's 4 Wheel nad Off-Road
magazine...." Want to know more about land closures in your
state? How about how to open closed land, or preventing
it in the first
place?"<br><a href=http://www.off-road.com/landuse
target=new>http://www.off-road.com/landuse</a><br>check it out, I'm going to.
I'll post any I find for
Minnesota, and they should have them for all states.
I'm hoping to make this a place for people with
Jeeps in Minnesota to meet, and exchange information.
My Jeep is a '90 YJ Wrangler. It's been in the mud
and over the top once, as of August 13th, 2000. Any
tricks or ideas are welcome.
