Ok 2007 was kind of lacking in in meets. I'm goig to try and do a better job
keeping things moving for 2008.
I've been waiting on a new place near me to open to Kick off the new year
but they seem to be running behind. But as soon asn I hear that they are
open I'll get some prices and see if we can schedule a visit to the The Apex
Conference & Karting Center.
While we wait for Apex to open lets head out to Okemos for our annual trip
to the Mongilian BBQ. Lets meet at about 1pm. Please register so I can call
ahead and make reservations.

Dont forget the 2008 NG is in Memphis, TN June 17-22. Its shaping up to be
the best NG yet.
Anyone interested we have a few NG07 tshirts for sale. See this thread on
3si. http://www.3si.org/forum/showthread.php?t=402815
The 3000GT/Stealth National Gathering is the largest gathering of 3/S's in
the world! This year, the Committee is very pleased to announce that the
2008 National Gathering (NG08) will be held in Memphis, Tennessee, June
17-22, 2008!!
Our schedule is as follows:
Tuesday: Registration
Wednesday: Driving School, Photo Shoots, Registration
Thursday: AutoCross, Car Show
Friday: Road Course, Drag Races
Saturday: Banquet
Sunday: Departure
Here are the fun facts, quick and dirty:
Driving School is being held by Race On. Cost is $300 per driver if you
register early. There are only 25 spots available, so don't procrastinate!
The photo shoots will be done by Keith Upton of Performance Imagery. Keith
is known as "Mobo" on 3SI. He's a freelance photographer for many of the car
magazines and brings with him an amazing talent for getting the right
picture at just the right moment with just the right background. Photo
shoots are included with all registration packages, too!
The AutoCross, Drag Race, and Road Course will all be held at Memphis
Motorsports Park - an easy 7-8 minute drive from the hotels!! Does it get
any better? Actually, it does. The Drag Races are AT NIGHT!!! 2pm until
10pm, just as so many have requested in the past.
The Car Show will be on the very famous BEALE STREET! For those who aren't
familiar, it's like Bourbon Street in New Orleans! Party all the time,
closed off to cars at night. Oh, and just so you can party safely, you can
purchase an unlimited-use bus ticket to transport you to/from Beale Street
and the main hotel.
And the Banquet. GRACELAND here we come!! Banquet tickets include a tour of
the mansion. The banquet is after hours, so all tours will be private for
NG08 participants and guests.
Want to know how to become a part of the action??? Register at
www.3snationalgathering.com beginning Friday, November 30, at 9:00pm EST!
This will undoubtedly be the biggest and best National Gathering yet. You
certainly don't want to miss it!!
The 2008 NG is being sponsored by: Dynamic Racing, 3SX Performance, Dejon
Powerhouse, Maximal Performance, and TN3S. Thanks to all our sponsors who
make this event possible! If you're interest in sponsoring, please contact
lori@... for more information.
I know a lot of people here are into road course event and many have
attended the Road Course events at the NG.
This year we've added to the NG in a way that may interest people that have
no participated in such an event.
In partnership with Memphis Motorsports Park and Race On we will be offering
a one day Driving School. Race On will host a driving school on Wednesday,
June 18th for any of you interested in learning to drive your cars better.
We've also worked out a special price for this event. The event registration
will begin at 7:15am at the track. The final run is done at 5:25pm. Lunch is
included. Total cost of the deal? $300. This will include all classroom
sessions and track time for the day. We're limited to only 25 spots for this
event.
If you are interested please keep an eye on www.3snationalgathering.com and
the "national" events forum on 3si.

Our annual MI3Si summer picnic will be held Saturday July 28th at the home
of Jeff Williamson in Belleville, near the intersection of I94 and I 275.
This is typically our largest gathering of the year and everyone is invited
to attend, even if you are not able to bring your 3S. We'll get started
around 3pm and keep going until everyone leaves. Spouses, relatives,
friends, and kids and welcome, but no pets please. (Jeff's dog is great with
people, but rules his domain when it comes to other animals.)
The 3S NG is bringing food.
For $5.00 per person we will provide.
Pull pork with buns if you want to make a sandwich.
Chips
Pop.
Can someone bring some ice?
It is important that anyone coming signup so we can make sure to have enough
food on hand.
http://mi3si.org/gatherings/events.php?neventid=43
All of the funds will be used to help us setup the 2008 NG in Memphis.
Thanks Guys
Alan
We have an option for food for this years picnic.
Who'd like pulled pork sandwiches, chips, pop, pickles for $5.00 per person?
If enough people are interested I'll set this up.
Please let me know if you are interested.

For anyone that has not been to Jeff's before, there's plenty of private
space for parking at least 30 cars, and since its July this year, we
shouldn't have to worry about situations like the mudfest we had in 2003.
Directions to Jeff's house will be sent privately to anyone that needs them.
Just send me an email and I will get them to you (alan92rttt@...)
Food and drink is BYOB and BYOF. So bring whatever you want to eat and drink
and we'll have someone manning the grill for anyone who has something they
want to throw on it. We'll fire up the grill around 5pm.
Jeff and I hope you can attend. Please register on the sign-up sheet if you
plant to attend. You can attend even if you don't register, but this is just
to give us an idea of how many people to expect.
Hope to see everyone there!
Please take a moment to register at

ONE WEEK TO GO.
Our next major gathering will be held in Okemos, Mi. We had a great time
last year. Cars are not required, so if your is in storage or in pieces on
the garage floor that is not a excuse to miss this.
We will be meeting at
Bd's Mongolian BBQ

Okemos, MI 48864

Join us there at 1pm on Sunday April 29th (hopefully the later date will
give us some better weather).
If you have question or need better directions e-mail me.
Please take the time to register so I can prepare them for the number of
people were bringing.

The subject says it all.
I'll have the signup page up this evening.
Jeff W. You need to pick a date for the Picnic.
Once I know the date for the picnic I'll try and schedule a day for either
Dave & Busters or Gameworks between Lansing and The Picnic.

Registration is open for the 2007 3S National Gathering.
The event will be held July 11th thru the 15th.
This event is a complete car enthusiasts event with Drag Racing,
Autocrossing (or TireRack's one of a kind autocross track) and a Road Course
event.
Go to www.3snationalgathering.com for full details.
We need a September get together. But I'm torn between D&B and Game works
what do you guys think?
I think Saturday Sept 30th would give us time to choose and get the word
out.

Our annual MI3Si summer picnic will be held Saturday July 15th at the home of Jeff Williamson in Belleville, near the intersection of I94 and I 275.

The picnic was held at Jeff's house a few years in the past, but for those who haven't been there before, there's plenty of private space for parking at least 30 cars, and since the date is a month later than usual, we shouldn't have to worry about situations like the mudfest we had in 2003.
Directions to Jeff's house will be sent privately to anyone that registers.
This year, we'll be doing the food a little differently. Instead of everyone bring something to share, it's BYOB and BYOF. So bring whatever you want to eat and drink, and we'll have someone manning the grill for anyone who has something they want to throw on it. We'll fire up the grill around 5pm.
We realize this is relatively short notice, but hope you can attend. Please register on the sign-up sheet if you plant to attend. You can attend even if you don't register, but this is just to give us an idea of how many people to expect.
I know some of you do not goto 3SI that often so your probably not aware of
a new feature.
This feature is called a Wiki or wikipedia. A Wiki is a user created and
maintained Encyclopedia. This section of 3SI can serve as Faq, information
source, how to and any other 3S related information you can think of. It can
all be cross referenced and cross linked. It will talk a while to grow but
the more people that use it the better the resource it will be. I encourage
all of you to check it out. If you have a 3SI forum login you can add and
edit content. At this point anything is welcome(even Jeff's 3S sounds chart)
