just to let everybody know that the great mg slogan of "safty fast"
has been blatantly stolen. what dastardly villain would do such a
low down thing? look no further than the ford motor company
advertising department. all around chicagoland there are safty fast
billboards touting such wonderful,small,exciting,and exotic foriegn
cars like the new ford taurus.
i am really wondering if this slogan was ever trademarked or
copyrighted back in the day. if it was,the new chinese owners of
everything mg could in fact seek legal action. i have heard of
something similar to this with a tire type that wasn't made for 40
years (the tire company wasn't even in buisness for 30 years, but
somebody bought the rights to all the company's products).
i hope it was tm or c and i hope that ford gets their pants sued off
over this. the money will help the new owners build their new
manufacturing plant in oaklahoma.
this pilfering of mg's slogan was downright stupid. any idiot with
dial-up and yahoo search engine (is ford hurting so bad they didn't
pay their internet bills?) can see that the slogan is attached to mg
and that mg is still in buisness/coming back to usa.

shame on you ford motor company.
