Ford 160# injectors were originally used to gas phase CNG, you can pick them
up on ebay, various fuel injector suppliers, or your local Ford dealer.
Liquid phase is still extremely limited. AFAIK there are only 2 manufactures
of liquid LPG injectors, and they only sell to conversion/R&D companies in
Europe.
The pressures required to keep Propane in liquid phase at normal underhood
operating temps can reach 1,500PSI+ during hot start. Then under certain
circumstances you get into the Supercritical phase of propane where it turns
into a gas/liquid slurry, and you run into SERIOUS AFR problems. Purging the
gas during hot start, Its like extreme vapor lock.
I had considered trying diesel injectors/pump, but since LPG has very little
(practically none) lubricating properties, and making them survive in the
extreme thermal cycle, pretty much made them a no-go. If you could machine
your own pintles/seats and pumps out of ceramics, you might have a shot at
it. The diamond tooling and machine accuracy on parts so small makes it a
real PITA.
