To be straight up with you, there really aren't any auto-shift "semi-automatics"
for older heavy-duty buses at this time, without adding a computer and a
spending lot of money to modify an older bus. What type of bus are you looking
for, or do you already have? The other option is a full automatic...i.e. an
Allison fully-automatic transmission. I have a MC-7, and it has a
standard/manual transmission with just 4 gears. Has your female ever driven a
stick before? If so, it's not too terribly hard for her to learn to drive a
stick-equipped coach or bus(skoolie/highway coach, transit, etc). If you want an
automatic-equipped bus, there are Fxibles and GM transits that have the V-703
automatic 3-speed tranny in them, or maybe newer(MC-8, MC-9, Eagle, etc) coaches
that came with automatic transmissions from the factory. Just some choices for
you to consider. Let me know what you have or want, and I'll see if I can help
you along. - MC-7 Rusty

Hello to all of you bus fan.
My question.... .
Is there a kind of manual transmission that you dont have to fight
with, look 'double clutch'' or syncronised the motor with the speed to
engage the gears???
There is certenaly a modern kind of transmission that shift very
smootely.
My whife is a little disapointed that i am looking for a non-automatic
transmission bus.
For me it is not a to big problem, but for my whife....hum !!
And i can understand her.It is not always easy to shift thoses
transmissions.
What should i look for.?
Many thank's
Alain
