I was wondering if anyone else had been caught in this situation and
if there is a way out. I am buying a bus in NY It still has the
seats in it. I am driving it to Colorado to convert it. I am going
to store it at a friend's house, because of local ordinances. I will
need to drive it back and forth to work on it. Now here is the
problem. I can not register it as an RV until it is done. I am
supposed to register it as a bus. If I register it as a bus, the
cost of just registration will be ten times as much. Plus, I would
have to have a CDL and insure it as a bus- all cost prohibitive. I
know that laws vary from state to state, but they are similar in
some aspects. If anyone knows a way around this, please let me know.
