It does not play for me. How long does it take for 80% of the burning process to complete? I inquired here a year or so ago, because F1 engines are running at ...
actually F1 is faster than that. But with pneumatic or electric valves I think. Stock bike engines now rev to 16k or so they claim... 15K is commonplace...
... I've seen other footage of combustion, but this is the clearest by far, very good. Cheers IAN See www.drysdalev8.com for : - Drysdale 750-V8 Sports...

... They were running to 20krpm a couple of years back, but the "2 race" engine rule has seen this knocked back a bit. ... 15 krpm is common for 600-4's and...

F1 engines are limited to 19k rpm by the rules. John Mead...
... But then the Honda 5cyl 125cc GP racers would pull 24,500 rpm, and that was nearly 50 years ago, with carbs and points ignition. No wonder the Brit bike...

16k is not even vaguely the limit for IC engines. The Nova Rossi Plus 12-3 revs to 42,200 rpm. Of course, it is a very teeny 2 stroke :) Even then, pretty...

Can someone please explain the white haze in the intake charge? is it humidity in the air? Thanks, Jack...
I have a bike that could use a wider ratio transmission. It seems like one way to achieve this with limited resources is to swap gears from the input/ output...
... That's going to be a mighty wide ratio gearbox !! ... Do you usually amuse yourself by standing by a rubbish bin tearing up $100 notes ? If so, then yes,...

... If all gears had equal duty cycle, then they would get progressively narrower as you go from 1st to top ( as the stress at the tooth root is reducing due...

We're repairing a (probably) homemade 4V conversion on an old B31(ish) engine. Original rocker material seems to be a grey cast iron. Found an old foundry guy...
The Gold Star rockers are forged... depending on how much cam / rpm's usage (racing) etc, a forging is a better idea... as cast ones have been known to break...
Bronze is quite a strong material - al-bronze will probably be stronger than yer average steel - probably be quite OK for a 4v B31 - unless you are planning on...

I hear they break... I did some research on Harley rockers, as they are so close dimension wise to the BSA parts it is amazing... I went to a Harley dealer...
... I doubt they would be grey C.I., more likely S.G. cast iron, which is pretty good stuff. A 4140 forging would be better of course, but SG iron will...
