azda sells an adapter bolt that takes the place
of the stock oil cooler attach bolt (at the engine
block, below the sending unit). It is the same bolt but
is threaded to accept the line to your guage. Or
just remove your stock bold and tap it for the propper
thread pitch.

Keith

y 88 GTU with 195,000 miles on it makes this
strange clanking noise when I take off, and when I shift
thru the gears. Unless I do it very gently, which is
not in my nature...

Sounds like a tin can
rolling under the seat?

I'm thinking something to
do with the U-joints, but it's TOO DAMN COLD to
crawl under and look.

Anybody seen
this??

Lucas; freezing in Virginia Beach - I also have a bad

have a HKS. It has several features besides
counting down to shut off your car. It can be adjusted in
30 sec interval all the way to 10 mins. I know
people that use the 10 min setting to warm up their cars
in the morning.

Hope this helps...
Sergio

ow about moving down here to Florida and setting
up your own rx7 shop? The only independent
rx7/rotary mechanics here are Pettit down in Ft Lauderdale,
N-tech up in Winterhaven and Maztech here in Tampa. I
need a good one for my 93 since Maztech doesn't want
to touch 3rd gens. There's a whole bunch of RX7's in
FL, enough for everybody, i think.

STREET port job or STAGE I port job(Hayes Rotary Engineering)is best..it has
minimal effect on the low end torque and will still idle normally with a decent
power gain.

know for the 1st gen's the 'street porting' you
can get done by Mazdatrix, RacingBeat, or several
other places is the best for regular daily driving. As
I understand it, this is just a simple enlarging of
the current ports, and doesn't hurt the low end
torque to bad. I haven't done this because if I did
they'd bump me to prepared or modified, I forget
which.

Joseph H.
