Hi Guys and Gals

Some of us have been talking about getting together and having a meet up and
then go for a bit of a drive.



Whilst Esprit's are the flavour of the day, any Lotus enthusiast welcomed.

I have put together a few of my thoughts and this is what i have come up
with so far, all subject to change on the day if others can supply better or
more convenient alternatives.


I thought we could meet at the Dreamworld carpark ( about 7am? ) and then
head up to Mount Tambourine where we can maybe get a drink and take some
photos whilst having a chat. ( This may be replaced due to Ozzie Day Weekend
and Mt Tamb. gets busy).

The road up there winds around a bit and is usually in pretty good
condition, with a few awesome photo opportunities along the way.

I thought we could then go north a bit up the inland route to Beenleigh
which is situated just off the highway, for those wanting to head off in
another direction or home.

The Drive should take about an hour and a half all up, with an hour or so
stop in the middle so should finish around 10:00 - 10:30ish

For those wanting to, I will be heading back to Mount Cotton, about 10
minutes from Beenleigh and heading to the Lotus Bar, where we can have a BBQ
for lunch, a few lagers or whatever your taste and mingle a bit more.

I have quite a bit of Esprit Memorabilia that is finally unpacked and will
be on display in the form of pictures and books ( including the Esprit
Hardcover Book put out by Frenchman, Remy Solnon), and magazines, as well as
lots of little Lotus trinkets and knick knacks.

Any ideas are welcome, this post is just to test the water and see who is
interested and available.

So far Sunday the 25th of January seems to be everyone else's preferred
choice, any and every time is good for me...lol

I look forward to some good interest. This is a great opportunity to get
face to face with us all and swap stories, tech ideas and fixes etc.

If we can make it work then it may be the start of an ongoing thing with
more organised runs up the coast and so on. I suppose it is up to us all
really to make an effort. I for one am keen as mustard, to formalise a local
Esprit chapter and am more than prepared to offer facilities for meetings
and so on.

Anybody wishing to come up or down the night before will be welcome to stay
at our home either by getting in early and putting dibbs on one of our spare
rooms or even pitch a tent on the lawn... we have 15 acres and plenty of
room here in the bush. Security not an issue as we have twin doberman
security system 24hrs scared011.gifThe Lotus Bar will of course be kicking
on...as it always is.
