RE: [lotus4seaters] Getrag gearbox in 1975 Elite

I've recently acquired a 1985 Lotus Excel and I have decided to sell my 1979
Eclat and any spare parts I will not need for the Excel.

In amongst all the bits and pieces I have gathered is a gearbox and
propshaft (driveshaft) from an Eclat S2.2

I will be putting it on eBay once I've given it a good clean unless anyone
on this list would like to make me an offer! (I will still clean it :-)

Paul.

Benjamin,

How about posting the details of what you had to do to install the
Toyota W58 into your car.

Which version of the W58 has the correct input shaft and nose
housing length? Shifter mechanism? Etc?

What mods did you have to do to the chassis. If you had to
fabricate bits, do you have patterns or drawings?

Thanks,
Tim Engel
