I have Fiero seats with the adjuster tracks removed (mount solid to the floor) for my Avenger GT-15 and they are fine for me, but I am only 5'-9" tall.  The GT-15 has a little bit lower floor than a GT-12, so I might suspect that the Fiero seats could be a little more cramped on the GT-12.  The best seats I have seen for a taller guy have been the 1978 Datsun 200 SX seats hard mounted to the floor that Richard Moor has in his red Buick powered Avenger GT-12.  I met Richard and saw his car at the 1998 Club Sandwich Central kit car show in Collinsville, Ill.  I was impressed with his car and with the good looks and low profile of those Datsun seats.
