Subject: [loflyin40] My Avenger

   Guys,
I dd this for Scott and thought I wold post it for all.

I have a 2 piece avenger with a rotary motor in it tied to a vw tranny.I'm thinking you have seen the pics on the website?

1985 12A rotary motor- Fresh rebuild from RX7 world.com. all new seals and a streetport. Holley carb and mazda trix silencer 400 muffler.
New  DDFLIS electronic ignition, three coils.
        New (2003) RX7 Radiator
I.5 inch COPPER from engine up to Radiator in front.

1960s vw tranny fresh rebuilt with highway gears 3:88, welded synchros,

New DIsc brake kit (karmann Parts)
        New  Lowering kit adjustable.
New  Coil overs for the rear.
New frame pans.  I welded and painted the frame (it's what I do or did)
Above is covered with acoustic mat and carpet.
New Watson streetworks wiring with GM Fuse box.
New Power windows from streetrod adapted to doors. (Works but it's not like your wifes lexus)
New 15x10's's in the back with 235's
New 15x 8's in the front with 205's
        New  scat pack shifter
Glass is older and original but decent. I have it in like the new cars, with urethane and the little trim.
Corvette tilt telescopic column. mates perfectly with the wiring harness.
New ultralite guages, Fuel and speedometer only need to be finished .
        New  Fuel cell in front.
Headlights from a 1990's taurus, Salvage yard.
        New  Little red streetrod tailights
New  Full 4 point harness' for driver and passenger
        New pioneer Cd player
Most of the parts and hardware I sourced new , After buying from the salvage yard and having to replace it.
Honda Prelude buckets (fixed position) adpated to the pan.
THE CAR IS CURRENTLY INSPECTED AND TAGGED IN PA.
IT IS TITLED as a 74 VW
I started on this in 1999 I think and have just lost interest in it. The Paint is decent on it but not show quality. I have taken it a long way but what it needs now is to
have the little things ironed out. Speedometer need an adapter to show right speed. Right now 40 = 25. Fuel cell needs a sender. at the time it was 150 bucks and I       didn't have the cash. Wire is run though. Interior needs finished.
