Just talked to Richard Moor (damn he's nice).  His seats are 78 Datsun 200SX, hard mounted, custom fit them to his wife size. Thanks Walt

I've lost my notes about the seats that Richard Moor used on his Avenger.  I remember they were from some Japanese car and were low to the floor to give better headroom for the 6'+ Avenger owners.  If you contact him, please ask him that question for me.
