Hey Ladies,
I started a group on facebook for this to try to perk it up a little. If you
want, come join up over there:

Hope to see you soon and to scoot in the nice weather!

You could meet me at my office in Harvard Sq (15 Mt Auburn St) between 5 and 5:30 (or earlier) or venture forth yourself. I think one way to go from Waltham is down Main St to Arsenal St, down Western Ave to River St onto Memorial Drive and over the Longfellow Bridge, but there are probably twelve more ways to go. I am looking for a mechanic/mechanic type who can come to my home in
Quincy and get my 1998 Honda Elite 50cc scooter start. (You can do the
work elsewhere if you have a truck or here.) Problem: The carb needs to
be cleaned and I would like to change the sparkplug. I already put in a
new battery. It starts (lights go on, horn works) but will not turn
over to run. Please call me at 978-302-6326 or email if interested. I
will of course pay for labor and parts. I can even come pick you up if
you do not have access to Quincy. (Angie...I am not paying for your
flight back from the West Coast. :-)
Thanks!

planning to do that this year? How do we arrange it, or do we just
show up ridin'? (Friday June 13th)

Angie, Angie! I can't believe you're migrated westward! And I felt lost when you went to Western Mass! Were youtalking about me moderating with you? Is there another Adrienne in the club? I'm not sure I have any spare time to organize anything, but I too would be sad if the club fizzled. Then women would be tempted to join that other club....the one with the name that makes my skin crawl and every feminist sensibility of my being scream. Let's all figure this out. Warmly, A

This is what I do every winter and never had a problem starting her up in the spring.
Hi Deb, My poor little Vino is sitting in the driveway as we speak, and I just shoveled her out of drifting snow. It sounds like you did all the right things last year and everything worked out great! Says me: keep doing what you're doing. Mine was out in the driveway most of last winter (I did tuck her away in a neighbor's garage, but there's no room this year.) and she was fit as a fiddle when I got her going. When in doubt, call Tom at Riverside Motorsports. He's the guru of the service department (617.628.6400) and I trust him to tell me what is really necessary. Warmly, A

These include things like: - Drain the carberatur float chamber... - Fill up the fuel tank and add fuel stabalizer... - Other steps to protect and cylinder, piston rings, etc. from corrosion...
And other things that I don't really have a clue how to do.
Last winter I just tucked her in the garage for a few months, then brought her out in April and she started fine. Later in the season I got a tune up and experienced no problems.
