Mayf,
Your stability (mostly side-to-side) is also going to be strongly affected
by your moment of inertia (which you just increased a lot by adding weight
at the ends of the car) and where your CG falls in relation to your
aerodynamic center (side view). Your new vertical fins should help get your
aerodynamic center behind your CG, helping with the weather-vane effect.
The larger moment of inertia should make things happen more slowly but will
require greater forces to damp/control.
Your model should be interesting if you can incorporate all these forces!
Been a long time since I've tried to do something that interesting. Hell,
this morning's work was inventorying 16 chicken barns (25,000 birds per
barn). Luckily no birds in them. Very smelly, pretty boring but pays the
bills...
