My name is Rob, I have been looking for an older Jeep to rebuild with
my boys for about
2 years now and have wanted one for about 15 years. I guess that the
planets just aligned and I drove by the 77 CJ-5 sitting along the side
of the road with a for sale sign on it with the wife (the boss) along
and she gave the green light. Mine has a v8 from the original owner and
only had 27,500 miles on it and 13,000 of that were towing miles. I've
just gotten it ready for the safety inspection after cleaning 25 years
of dirt out of it with water and a vaccume. I had to remove a bunch of
hunting extras out of it with my kids before we could even clean it. It
came with what appears to be an old Mail Jeep top that we quickly
removed and put in the back yard.

I have been working on cars, trucks and Jeeps of my friends for 25
years and love restoring all types of motor vehicles.
