Dear Folks,
Calling all who have participated in the Basic 4x4 Handling Course. You are
exclusively invited to our outing slated for the 11 to 12 October in Kota
Tinggi.
It isn't a particularly demanding trail but the variety of obstacles that
we are expecting to meet will pose excellent opportunities for you
to make use of the skills that you have learnt earlier. There won't
be any option for accommodation in the traditional sense. Yes, this
is a strictly camping out weekend, so its time to dust off the tent
and other camping gear.
As for chomps, we, as in all the participants, will be the chefs. In
particular, we are planning to do a barbeque under the stars, which
will be a great opportunity for everyone to just hang out together
and share stories, in particular, tales from the day's trail!
For those interested & keen to find out more on Adventure Trip 4.
Briefing and final registration is set on 8 OCT WEDNESDAY 8pm at Cafe de
Cafe @ Kallang (next to McDonald's).
At the meeting, we'll share with you what you'll need to prepare for the
upcoming outing... will be fun!
Cheers!

As
promised, JeepNation is organising something different from the usual 'Safari
Challenge' events that appeals more to
the SUV owners who like experience life on the wilder side and try out
their tough 4x4 gear (if any).
For
that something extra you don't get when you march into the resort on your

Hi Folks,
We are driving up to Kuantan from 8-10 Feb (that's Saturday till Monday)
for a weekend retreat.
This is a free 'n easy trip. We are expecting to be on the road for
around 5.5 hours unless there's traffic. There will be no itinerary -
just get there and chill.
Consider this an invitation. If you want to come, go log in your leave
forms.
The whole idea is to let it all come loose, relax - by the beach or try
out the quads, do some sea sports, read a book, sip coconut juice...
whatever rings your bell.
Not many of us visit Malaysia's east coast often, well, this may be a
good opportunity to enjoy sights you don't normally see on the
North-South Expressway...
As mentioned, it will be a free 'n easy trip. We'll push off from the
usual gathering place on Saturday (8 Feb) morning and plan to reach
Singapore on Monday (10 Feb) evening.
The place we'd like to stay in for SATURDAY NIGHT is the Swiss-Garden
Resort, Kuantan. For more information about the hotel like facilities,
rates, etc... have a look at their website - Swiss Garden Resort Kuantan
http://www.asiatravel.com/malaysia/swissgarden_kuantan/index.html
The second night, that's SUNDAY, maybe a night under the stars, i.e.
we'd probably want to camp out at one of the lovely beaches along the
East Coast. This should give us a good balance of experiences, from
chilling out at the hotel pool, checking out the 'views' at the hotel's
private beach and still get a little of that out-there feeling camping
under the stars.
What we need if YOU DECIDE TO JOIN US:
We'll need to sort out the bookings with the hotel - the 3ideas will be
making the bookings by this 29 Jan 2003 (Wednesday). To ease the
logistics involved, we won't be waiting for anyone. If for some reason,
you can't confirm by the date, do make your own arrangements.
RSVP to us with the number of rooms required or alternatively, you can
book online via their official website.
Wishing you A Properous Lunar New Year Ahead.
Cheers!
