Folks,
Time
really files, and we've reached the end of 2001. It has been a great year
for us, as we've managed to squeeze a couple of Basic 4x4 Handling Courses,
off-roading trips and not to mention our first charity drive for the Breast
Cancer Foundation. I'm sure there be more charity events in years to come.
The
New Year was greeted with an eye-opening trip to Japan, whereby we witnessed
the Tokyo Auto Salon 2001 and 4x4 Magazine Convention. And not to mention,
the refreshing new look of our revamp website (which makes my life simpler,
when editing), the fruitful durian fiesta trip, and also witnessing several
international 4x4 events like the Simex Thailand's Off Road Challenge,
Malaysia's International Rainforest Challenge 2001 as well as the Johore
Jamboree 2001. It's also a great welcome to see so many new models of SUV
being introduced in Singapore, including Renault's Scenic RX4, new Toyota's
Rav 4, Nissan's X-Trail, BMW's X5, Mercedes' ML320, new Mitsubishi's Pajero,
Land Rover's freelander, Defender TD5 etc. Our community almost doubled
and new friends browsing our site increased tremendously with November's
hit rate-reaching as high as 19,000+ individuals (though incomparable to
Yahoo's hit rating).
We'll
close the curtain on a high note and welcome 2002, in the forthcoming "Annual
Countdown Bash" jointly promoted by 4x4 Magazine Singapore and Pro-RV.
So see you next year, or rather our coming year-end's gathering in 30th
December.
