not sure about the comanches, but most vehicles with 4 cyl engines are underpowered and causing the power steering pump to work extra (turning, parking, etc.)...

actually, with the Dana 30, anything above a 3.55 (some call it a 3.54) will work with your gears. 3.55 and below calls for one carrier, 3.73 and above calls...
