Thanks for all your support and encouragement. Indeed, I felt a very coordial and enthusiastic atmoshphare at OTR. Enjoyed a lot.
 
I suggest an offroad trip to some outlocation for a day or two. May be some dirt trail or mountain trail nearby. I know, organising such trips with real on-road challenge is not so easy job. But it will have more fun and will be more interesting.

Hi Dwarak,

Yes, Yogesh got this Vitara for the first time for this OTR, he came all the way from Jaipur just for this OTR and wanted to make full use of his Vitara and the OTR :-). Yes, where ever possible and where ever there are not big boulders, we have explored all the places. There are many places where i have been but have not allowed others to go due to safety reasons. Many a times if the group is big, we do not try any hard/risky obstacles just to avoid any accidents. All these places are worth trying when ever we are in small group ;-)

sorry for butting in,   just commenting on the tractor thing .....normally every OTR we have one or more vehicles with winches and most of us carry tow ropes hence there is no need for external help , 2 . Jeeping is all about being there for the fella jeeper ...........

I think that's a bright idea.  We definately need a strong technical "on the spot" backup team.  Also need a good and well performing tractor.  Since we have such a large group, these added details will go a long way.

On a personal level I can comment that its a good idea. But we need to derive some benefits from them too.

May be technical backup on OTRs. Sponsorship on few things even branding.

As they will be deriving benefits from our OTRs pics too.

I personally feel we can take it forward.

Hi Dwarak,

Yes, Yogesh got this Vitara for the first time for this OTR, he came all the way from Jaipur just for this OTR and wanted to make full use of his Vitara and the OTR :-). Yes, where ever possible and where ever there are not big boulders, we have explored all the places. There are many places where i have been but have not allowed others to go due to safety reasons. Many a times if the group is big, we do not try any hard/risky obstacles just to avoid any accidents. All these places are worth trying when ever we are in small group ;-)

Daer Jeepers,
 
Even though it is our motto NOT TO LEAVE A DISABLED JEEP BEHIND, yet we once had to bring a Jeep back which had broken its steering rod, there was no option but to lift its front on the rear lift of a tractor and tow it. Yes we lived upto our motto but the tractor was actually required.
 
Another time we had to tow Amits Jeep with a tractor as the terrain was very sandy.
 
In case such an eventuality arises again, there are enough farmers around the area where we go Jeeping that we can hire tractors from them.
 
For the really big OTRs like the Monsoon OTRs we arrange a dedicated tractor with chains etc.

sorry for butting in,   just commenting on the tractor thing .....normally every OTR we have one or more vehicles with winches and most of us carry tow ropes hence there is no need for external help , 2 . Jeeping is all about being there for the fella jeeper ...........

I think that's a bright idea.  We definately need a strong technical "on the spot" backup team.  Also need a good and well performing tractor.  Since we have such a large group, these added details will go a long way.

On a personal level I can comment that its a good idea. But we need to derive some benefits from them too.

May be technical backup on OTRs. Sponsorship on few things even branding.

As they will be deriving benefits from our OTRs pics too.

I personally feel we can take it forward.

Dear NIOC Jeepers,
 
On the 20th December OTR all the MODS enjoyed the OTR and did nothing except drive their Jeeps, all the recovery as well as running repairs and marshalling was taken over by 'Gen Next'. Amit, Arjun, Pushkin, Randeep, Ashish volunteered to undertake the job and made all efforts to ensure a smooth and safe OTR. The pictures are there for all to see. Thank you guys from the entire group and looking forward to your efforts in the future OTRs as well.

Hi Dwarak,

Yes, Yogesh got this Vitara for the first time for this OTR, he came all the way
from Jaipur just for this OTR and wanted to make full use of his Vitara and the
OTR :-). Yes, where ever possible and where ever there are not big boulders, we
have explored all the places. There are many places where i have been but have
not allowed others to go due to safety reasons. Many a times if the group is
big, we do not try any hard/risky obstacles just to avoid any accidents. All
these places are worth trying when ever we are in small group ;-)

sorry for butting in,   just commenting on the tractor thing .....normally every OTR we have one or more vehicles with winches and most of us carry tow ropes hence there is no need for external help , 2 . Jeeping is all about being there for the fella jeeper ...........

I think that's a bright idea.  We definately need a strong technical "on the spot" backup team.  Also need a good and well performing tractor.  Since we have such a large group, these added details will go a long way.

On a personal level I can comment that its a good idea. But we need to derive some benefits from them too.

May be technical backup on OTRs. Sponsorship on few things even branding.

As they will be deriving benefits from our OTRs pics too.

I personally feel we can take it forward.

My friend has a completely overhault KMT90 4x4 gear box and a XDP4.9 engine which has done only 5600 Km after the overhaul and is in excellent condition. Both are in guranted best condition.
 
He is selling them as he is upgrading to XD3P with BA10 4x4.

Jeepers,
 
   We were blessed with a second daughter on November 28th. Baby was born premature by a month and was underweight. After spending a fortnight at the hospital, they came home last week. Needless to say she will take a a month or so to reach the normal weight.
 
   Been a whale of a year with so many things happening on the personal front. Guess this answers my absence from the Off-road scene.
