holes (with an electric soldering gun) in the back of the Jackal/Stone
speedometer cases which allow coating the drive gears with grease without having
to take the instrument apart. Once done (every 10K miles) the holes are covered
with duct tape.

the gears for adding grease. It's in "Wildgoose Chase Moto Guzzi" Discussions,
dated 7/13/2009 and the author is Greg Field, a noted Guzzi expert. I plan to
make this modification to the ITI unit on my 2004 Stone Touring. Better than
buying a new one.
I also read somewhere of an owner who'd replaced his ITI speedo with one by VDO.
Anyone know about this; what model speedo, etc?
