Can't help with the speedometer, but for the side cover, you might try the
MGNOC classifieds. There was at least one EV being parted out, and aside from
paint and decals, the side covers are the same.
Also, Moto Guzzi Classics in California offers fiberglass repos that are
"guaranteed not to crack." I'm not sure how much they are, but in
my past dealings with them, prices have been reasonable.
Good luck!

Jay

February (brrr) whenever the ice wasn't on the road. To be fair, I've
only ridden to work about 10 miles away, but still in this area that's out
in the cold wind with slacks and spring gloves on. Can't say that my fingers
weren't frozen in the first 10 minutes of a 20 minute ride.

hold 14 volts off the tender, but only for the first start. Then it would hold
to about 10.5. New battery gotten. done

on one of my rides. Anyone know a good place to get a replacement? The shop is
quoting me near $200 for a silver one. $92 unpainted.

screw loosened off the speedo cable, but that's just wishful. It likely
broke now that the Odometer cleared 23k. Any suggestions on troubleshooting or
other advice, as I've never had this happen to me and barely know how this
works on the Jackal.

Yes, they could fail independantly. Which actually makes trouble shooting the problem easier if both have failed. You look for something common to both, most...
