Well the front circlips/snaprings are off. Glad I took the junk box apart first,
even though it was supposed to be the good one! Removed the input shaft circlip,
would have removed the countershaft circlip if it had been there, all bolts and
nut on the front case, and it came apart so nice.
Are the countershaft bearings the weak point they seem to be? Both trans had bad
countershaft bearings. The junkyard trans had both bearings totally destroyed
along with a couple of gears. Is there a stronger bearing or better design style
of them?
