Finally got the bike back together today. In the process I managed to
break 2 of the new tabs that I made with Plastex. (Can't fault the
Plastex - I just put too much pressure on them.)

Got it together enough to take for a short spin before the sun went
down. Checked everything - ok. Hopped on the bike and put it in gear
- dies. STUPID SIDESTAND KILL SWITCH. *#$&%$$#.

Sunlight too dim to fix now - will have to wait for tomorrow. If
something is keeping it from coming up all the way, should be easy -
otherwise I'm bypassing the switch.

Oh well - A little patience and a little more work and I will be done.
Then I should be able to ride drip-free for a good long while.

I understand and agree Dick. You have to keep in mind that my bike is just a bit junkier than most. I have to do things that you shiny-panel guys wouldn't. If...

I'm confused! You agree that the kickstand switch is a safety feature but because your ride is "a bit junkier than most" it is OK to throw it away? I am sure...

No - the quality of the bike isn't exactly the reason for not replacing the switch. My wallet is. If I can't fix it I just don't want to spend the money. If...
