high beam and my tail lights are out. The tail lights, however, turn on when I
press the brakes. I immediately thought it was the switch. So I purchased a
switch and still, the Tail Lamp fuse keeps popping. I've unplugged the tail
lamps and replaced the fuse and it popped again.

Brake lights are different from running tail lights.
Check rear sockets for short, corrosion, melted sockets and correct OEM bulbs or
Sylvania LL ONLY!
