I had similar experiance in my first service of 1 month. Now my car is due for
1yr service and I am realy scared of taking it to the service centre.

had recently given my car for a standard service to Pandit Auto in Pune. The
Tata workshop guys in Worli, Mumbai  (apparently I am told, that’s the
only workshop owned by Tata and all employees in the workshop are Tata Motors
employees â€" on payroll) had messed up the last time I gave the car for
service and hence I decided to give it to the tried and tested guys in Pune
â€" Pandit Auto. My past experience with them has been good.

supervisor was interested in selling VAS (Value added services) more than
anything such as internal car cleaning, exterior car cleaning, Engine decarb,
some engine treatment etc. He was ignorant of what all issues I was facing.
Finally I had to push him and tell him to shut up and listen and note down what
I was saying.

the car beyond 2000 rpm to even think of changing a gear. The car just
won’t go beyond 80-100 kmph. I am regular on the Mumbai-Pune expressway
and very often travel beyond 100 -120 kmph. I have always seen that the car
generally is at 80 kmph at 2K rpm and at 100 kmph it is hovering around 2.5 K
rpm. However for couple of times, the car would just not go beyond 100 kmph and
the engine use to start making a sound. The rpm would go beyond 3K or even be
near 3.5 K

me an estimate of INR 7,300 which included Engine decarb and one full wheel cap.

problem with the pickup and speed is yet not identified and they are still
finding out the reason. Next day again I called and he told me that there is a
problem with the throttle assembly, fuel pump, canister purge valve and Poly V
Belt and all needs to be replaced together to resolve the issue.
> ÂÂ

~ INR 20 K. He also informed me that incase I don’t repair; I might face
a problem in the ghats as the parts are damaged and if not now, I will need to
replace them in in some time. I having heard that I gave him a go ahead as I
travel too often between Pune and mumbai.
> ÂÂ
> When I picked up the car after 1 week, I found most of my issues were resolved
however the car had little jerks on and off, especially ‘without’
the AC. When I went through the bill, I realized he had not changed the
different oils which he said he would. He had not cleaned / replaced the spark
plugs as it was a minor service. He said he had checked the history and all
above had been changed during the last servicing which was done just 5,500 kms
back. That was quite impressive and hence he did not do anything.

yrs & 40,000 kms old car? In my opinion it does not. My last servicing, tune up
and cleaning, bill was INR10K and this time it is INR 20K. Well in one year I am
already spent 30K and additional 8 K on 4 tyres !!!!!!! Today my car has been
valued at INR 140K to 150K by the Pandit auto and some other agents while I was
comtemplating of switching over to Vista or i20. Is this value ok? What would be
an approx price I would get next year? Any luck with this number?
