I currently own both a KLR 650 and a DRZ 400E. I took a 2000 Te610 out for a
(too short) ride last night. I didn't get a chance to ride it on the highway.
I would like to replace my KLR with the Te, but I'm not sure about the long
distance comfort of the Te.
I'm sure I would like the lower weight, more power and better suspension.

I do like to go out for fairly long rides, sometimes 300 – 400 miles per day on
gravel roads. I have been to the Copper Canyon area in Mexico 5 times and to
Baja once, so I know I'd want a more comfortable seat and larger gas tank.

Were there big changes made to the Te610 between 2000 and now? I see that IMS
and Corbin both say that their products only fit the 2006 and later models.

I'm sure that if I sent in my seat, Renazco could make me one, but the 2.4
gallon stock tank would still be too small. Clarke said that they don't have a
tank for it either.

How is parts availability?

Any advice you can offer would be appreciated, Thanks!
