Subject: [houstoneurorider] My 2003 Stone arrived yesterday!!
After waiting 3 weeks for it to be transported from Connecticut to Texas, it finally arrived. This bike is so clean, I would have sworn that it had come right off the dealer's showroom floor. Actually, it had 3,800 miles and has been extremely well kept. See pics(I hope these show up):

First impressions: This is a beautiful bike.
The way the teardrop tank flows into the side cover is what made me want a Cali in the first place. There is a definite Italian sporty flair that only the Italians seem to be able to capture.
There seems to be an awful lot of vibration in the grips when accelerating. I was surprised by this, but this is the first Guzzi that I've ridden so it may be normal. I ride a HD Street Glide and it is smooth as ice compared to the Stone.
This bike is light and agile; a pleasant change from the Harley. It's rock solid in turns. I haven't pushed it much yet, since I've only been able to put about 100 miles on it. Tomorrow morning, I've hitting the highway at 3 a.m. to clock a 500 mile trip, mostly on FM's. I should be able to wring it out in the curves and see just what this bike is capable of. Already I know it will out perform the Harley in the curves, but is no competition in the comfort department.
More later. I've got to eat and get to bed
so I can get up at 2:00 and ride my new Ride.
