The 750 were bullet proof . many of the parts were either 750 or 100 gold wing parts . Fenders and wheels, disks. but The carbs are the center of your concern...

...sorry, but I can't give you the information on testing the stator, but I can say that having "no spark" doesn't neccesaryly sound like a bad stator to me....

...my guess would be that it won't bolt right up...79 was a pretty major sift in design. The wheel may fit, but the brakes or brake stays may not line up....
