Loraine,
Many thanks for your post! You have saved me quite a lot of money.
Our HR-V was starting to develop the shudder when I read your post.
I have had the car serviced by Honda everytime but the last two when
I "defected" to UltraTune.
Last week I had to return to the Honda dealer for the rear mud flap
recall (did you get that?). While there I hesitantly asked about the
shudder.
Them: "Has it been regularly serviced by Honda?"
Me (sheepishly): "Well, mostly"
Them: "We'll see what we can do"
Yesterday I received a call saying Honda Australia had approved
repairs. Estimated value $3,500 to $4,000.
Boquets to Honda. All this on a 1999 car well out of warranty.
They've won me back as a customer.
Again, Loraine, many thanks.
Brian
