Re: [Honda Helix Discussion] Helix brake light question

I mentioned the tail light works Pete.  I checked voltage (fine) when I first
tore it down.  I still need to know the proper bulb no., is it 1157?  I just
finished tearing off all the skins off my scoot for an initial inspection and
discovered that the fuse block harness plug that connects the fuse block inside
the glovebox has some corrosion, this could be the reason.  Any other ideas why
the brake light only (tail is fine, and a new 1157 bulb) doesn't come on is
welcomed.
Thanks,
M R

Use your handy-dandy $3.00 circuit tester to determine if 12v is present at the
socket when a brake is applied.

Thanks to everyone for their help so far, this IS a pretty cool, knowledgeable
group. While I'm getting my shop manual, one quick question. When I got the
Helix the guy jury-rigged some light bar on the back and tapped into the loom.
After removing this micky-mouse setup, I discovered their is no brake light.
There was an 1157 bulb in the socket. When I use either brake, with or without
the engine running, I have no brake light. Is that the correct bulb? All fuses
are fine. Is there something I'm missing, or does this require more
troubleshooting (i think it does)? All lights work perfectly (tail, h/l beam,
turns, running lights) except the brake light. Any thoughts?

Thanks,
M R
