Thanks for the looking around.I have been doing the same thing.

trust me ,I would love to have a 700S,but I can't afford 2 bikes,so either I
sell this one or find some one that would do a trade.

Oh I got out yesterday for a 20 mile ride and got back a bit a go from a nice 50
mile ride.Nice to have a break from the rain we have been having.

I've been looking for a 650 parts bike for over a year now for you. Any time
I've seen one, they want too much, won't part out individually, AND they have
the same problems with the mufflers that you do (tops of the backs rusting,
rough shape generally). If I find anything I'll be sure to let you know.
