I igured out what the problem is I think. If it doesn't show up the first time

Hey I just looked at all 5 of your pics however mine was gone now. I have had
this kind of problem before with other pics. Its like the contributor can't
view them.
Hi I was wondering on the picture page why my pictures that I posted were
deleted. Maybe we could find out whats going on? Let me know. Or maybe the
club owner could contact me.

Frank
hey,
They control shafts are all not the
same. But you can still interchange some parts from a
engin to another. Mostly pistons and cylinders. There
are a couple of bikes that have the same or similar
aircleaners. The dirt squirt, and the super rat have the same
air cleaners as the Road Toad. The 3+ means that is
is 3+ over not .30 over if im correct. Cause I had a
9+ stamped on my cylinder and it was really 9 over
So I bored it out and put a .10 over piston in it
and it started right up. So I think you have a 3 over
cylinder. Let me know if im any help. TTYL

Frank
Are all the control shafts for the shift mech.
the same? What air cleaner covers are the same as the
RoadToad? I have a +3 Stamped into the cyl. on the mating
surface for the head. I'm assuming this mean its .030
over? Any other guesses?
Hey everyone,
Its me frank Aka Hodakaboy. If
anyone cares I put some pictures of my restored 73' Dirt
squirt. Let me know what you think. Maybe we could get
more members bike up and running on this site?
TTYL

Frank
Hi,
The answer to your question is yes.
Hodaka did a really smart thing. They made all there
100cc bikes to interchange with others. Even 125cc can
interchange with a little bit of modifications. well let me
know what happens.

Frank Aka hodakaboy
What bikes have the same or similar engines as
the road toad? Or what pistons interchange. Or can i
bolt on a whole other engine different from the road
toad's? Is there a parts interchange guide for hodakas
out there. The reason i ask all this is because there
are a few hodaka's scattered around local junk yards
by me but, none are road toads.
Since most Hodaka engines are very similar, it's
not uncommon to find that the engine in the frame may
not be the original or even from the same model. If
you're not certain, it's probably a good idea to check
the engine number. Check the links for this club.
You'll find one that will take you to Stricktly Hodaka.
They have a page that shows where to find the engine
number and the model it is from.
I bet you have an after market piston and ring
set, Probebly a Wiseco
brand

http://www.wiseco.com
or 1-800-321-1364

Give them a shout,Havent
checked to see if they still stock any Hodaka stuff but
used to be a big supplyer a few years ago, Hope it
will help
Hello,
This message is for MKOplin69. Are
you sure that you have a Road Toad. You should check
the Frame and engine # at www.strictlyhodaka.com to
make sure what you have. It looks like its a superrat.
Try strictlyhodaka they useually have what I
need. There address is www.strictlyhodaka.com . Im
pretty sure they carry Green paint for Road toads. Let
me know if you find it. TTYl Frank Sanchez Aka
Hodakaboy
My Road Toad has a piston with one ring not 2
like I am used to and like the parts book lists for
that bike. Whats the deal. The bike has like zero
compression. Whats a new piston and ring set run$$? I was
quoted 150 to bore and match one up a while back. Is
this too much?
I know it is red. The person before me did that
along with removing all of the street stuff. I had no
idea what I had bought until i started rescearching
it. Anyone know where you can get the green paint at
or know the code?
Hi,
My name is Frank Sanchez. Im 16 and I
live in Tucson, Arizona. I have been riding hodakas
since I was 12 years old. Ever since I have been riding
them. I have a 69' Ace 100, and a 73' Dirt Squirt. I
have recently done a full restoration on my Dirt
Squirt. I think it looks really good. I am planning on
putting a 125 topend on it and racing it. Well glad to
join the club and hope to hear from you hodaka lovers
soon.

Thanks Frank Aka Hodakaboy
Just joined the club today. I have a Road Toad
that I bought years ago and was not able to get
running. I found that parts were quite expensive compared
to the other stuff I have dealt with. The bike has
been sitting for a while and i have not had time to
get to it. Anyone know a good source for parts at a
reasonable price. Thanks
Marv
It's great to hear someone is still racing these
things. Go get em! Welcome to the club, still small in
numbers but hopefully we'll continue to grow. Spread the
word. It sounds like we are collecting a good deal of
Hodaka experience and expertise here.
Hi all:
Stumbled onto youre site looking good.
I have a Combat Wombat and I race in the Missouri
Vintage series. Came in 2nd in the Novice 125 Classic
class for the series. Also My friend has a Super rat
1970's and he won his division for 125 novice sportsman.
I know its a 100 but if you have a reed youre in
the 125 sportsman. I'm also in the process of
starting another project. A Super Combat !!! yeh!! Ig
anyone needs help or parts let me know ok I have some
but not alot.

Thanks FireFox
My wife thinks I'm crazy too. I started riding on
a Hodaka in the late sixties. I sold that bike
around 71 but always regretted it. I now own a number of
bikes, Japanese and American, street and off road but my
Hodaka is very special to me and I doubt I will ever
sell it. In fact I'm working on a second one
now.

Glad to have you on board! We may be few, but I think
Hodaka fans are very a very dedicated group. Hopefully,
as our numbers slowly increase here, this can become
a useful forum for Hodaka fans everywhere.
Now my wife wont think Im (so)crazy, She thinks
Im the only Hodaka fan in the world, I have what I
think is 125 Wambat (Blue frame and orange tank)that I
once owned and sold when I was like 16yrs old (Im now
33), Found it at a sale this summer in really bad
non-running shape and brought it home and will never give it
up again, It needs a compleat restoring after being
kept outside for years but am exited to start that
project this winter.
i'm in portland, oregon. If you need any road
toad parts, let me know,i've got an extra bike. what
happened is i bought a running road toad with an extra
bike that is complete and in original condition, but
taken apart. THe running one has been converted to
dirt, but all the original parts are there.
Glad you stopped in! I thought this club would
draw more interest as well. I've got a Dirt Squirt
with a Road Toad motor. I'm rebuilding a Dirt Squirt
motor for it then it will be time to rebuild the Road
Toad motor. Where are you located? If you know any
other Hodaka fans, let them know about this club. It
would be great to get some more interest here.
wow, theres only one club for hodakas, thats strange, they were some of the most
popular bikes of the seventies. anyway, have an excess of hodaka road toad
parts if anyone needs them.
