Those senders are very difficult to find new or NOS. You may be able to have
yours repaired, here's one possible source http://www.clockdocgaugeworx.com/ In
the future, if you need any GM NOS or genuine ACDELCO replacement parts let me
know and I can run a free nationwide parts search and see what I can find. Clyde

previous, and nothing for Monza. Carquest couldn't help at all. My
Skyhawk has a space saver spare, that may be relevant in terms of
size/shape of gas tank, not sure. Most parts are interchable from 1975
to 1980 on the "H" body hatchbacks. Any way if you think you can help,

I'm in the process of updating and creating a new, comprehensive
list of all the current owners of Mirages. Please provide me with
name, city, state, VIN number serial number, photos, and any other
info you may have.
If you have sold your car, please take the time to pass that info
along so that the car might be tracked down. Any info as far as junk
cars and old photos are also much appreciated since that will help
determine which cars are no longer around.

Hey Group,
If you would be interested in an A-Pillar Gauge Pod for your H-Body,
there is a member at the V8 H-Body Talk message board that is trying
to put together a group buy.
Here is a link to the thread pertaining to this.

(Note, I used "Make a Shorter Link' because of the way Yahoo mangles
longer links).

(it goes on to say some additional info) that goes on the drivers
door. It also has a blank spot where you can add the date to
correspond with your car. Very nice little detail item for a restored
Mirage. $10 with free shipping. cjbiagi@...

Hey everybody,
I usually don't post here, but I do read the messages from time to
time. I have just started to reproduce the Mirage front airdam. It
consists of 3 pieces, the center section and 2 side pieces. It is a
high-quality 100% epoxy layup with multiple layers of top quality
woven cloth. Comes in a white (gel-coat like) epoxy surface coat.
These parts were pulled from the molds originally owned by Karl of
the now defunct MonzaMirageMania. They have been resurfaced and
cleaned up. They have the same shape as the ones Karl used to make,
but are 100% epoxy and at least 3X stronger and more impact
resistant.
Prices plus shipping are $275 for the 1st 10 people and $325
thereafter. Send me an e-mail to purchase. Better hurry!

I'm having a small run of reproduction Mirage serial number plaques
made. I need to know immediately who wants one. I need a definite
commitment as soon as possible, today preferably. The cost for each
plaque will be $20 with a randomly assigned number, or for an
additional $10 I can have a specific ID number put on the plaque. I
know that Ron Lee is #2663, Rob Patton is #415 and I am #831. Does
anybody else care to have a specific number? Please pay immediately
using PayPal. My ID is doyle_coates@... I will pay for
shipping after the plaques arrive. Be sure and visit
www.monzamirage.com to make sure the number you choose for your car
isn't already taken. I'm only having 15 plaques made at this time,
so if you want one, please speak up.

Hi all. A friend of mine put together a small website for me. It shows
before and after pics of my Mirage with the new stripes and has some
Mirage and imsa articles. Check it out.

Thanks, Ron
I have a 1977 monza mirage I have owned it for three years I bought
it from a friend of mine will 55k miles it now has 61.
it has a v8 4 speed, and factory alloy rims, I pulled the engine and
trans out the first year and I thought the miles were bs, but I found
a clean engine with no real wear. the upper cam gear was in perfict
cond, there was still cross patch wear the cylinders honed after
the factory bore.so I put a double roller chain and gear,a low rpm
high torque cam and lifters, edlbrock performer intake, holley 600 cfm
carb, oil pump and a new exhaust system, the new systemis 3/8th of an
inch bigger than original, the old system fell apart when I tried
to wrench on it.the car it self has patches on the hood and top and
hatch were pant has chipped off. I would of had it painted but I have
decided to sell and I don't want to cover up the stripes. the way it
is right now you can see everything and no bondo.you can jack the car
up have three weels off the ground and still open and close
the doors, any body who knows gm unibody if there was cancer you
would not be able to do that. the car is pretty
quick. i am asking $2500.00 obo, but wil be willing to deal. thanks
kevin.

The width of the white area is: 1/8" for the hood, hatch and top and
1/16" for the side stripes. Ron
I would like some more information about this kit. I haven't been
able to get to the groups for a while. Ron, if you get this message,
send me some details on the stripe kits. Thanks, Kent
doublemirage@...
The stripe kit that Ron Lee had made up arrived today!! It is beyond
my wildest dreams. All of the stripes are labeled with the factory
part numbers and even includes a color print-out to show where each
stripe goes. The kit even included the little red arrows for the gas
cap, the big black rectangle that covers up the rear fascia around
the lock cover, all the "monza mirage" text decals and the black
decals for the trailing edges of the flairs. A very complete
package!! I won't have to buy anything from Osborn Reproductions
except for the "Altered By" sticker for the inside edge of the door.
The kit even went to far as to include the "unleaded fuel only"
sticker.
Anybody that didn't get in on this opportunity on the ground floor I
highly recommend going ahead and buying the set. It's truly
something I've been waiting for and was well worth the wait.
Now, to get my car painted. If this didn't light a fire under my
arse, nothing will...lol
Question for anybody with the original stripes still on their car:
What is the actual width of the white area between the red and blue
stripes? Is the width consistent all the way? What about the width
of the white on the side stripes? Thanks!!
Many thanks go out to Ron for his tireless effort in seeing this
difficult project through to the end. Hip,Hip,Hooray!
