Hello Kev & Carl,

In trying to track down a replacement controller, this is what I found so far.
My controller blew up or grungily boiled over on the first use after a long
Oregon winter with no garage.
The Controller that had been in my car (Gizmo #28) was this one:

Curtis 1205 (D) (C) serial #355823X

Golf Tech Industries (No longer in business, it seems)

WinterSprings, Florida.

I went looking for the same...
Curtis Instruments tech guy is gonna call me back when he returns from lunch....
Wilfreido is his name. in NY.
I went to the Curtis web site also:
www.curtisinstruments.com
http://curtisinst.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=Contact.Distributors
Here I found Electric Vehicles of America (www.evamerica.com). I spoke to Brian
and then Bob. They can distribute for us. However, they don't know which Curtis
1205 we need for my car....I guess there are quite a few Curtis 1205's. Usually
they have 4 digits after that.

The gent, Bob, at Electric Vehicles of America suggested that there is a high
chance for a 48 volt car, that an AllTrax 4834 would work. I didn't ask if that
was a Curtis or not.
I wish I understood more about this stuff....but I don't see studying time
anyday in the near future. I am so grateful to all of you who do and are so
helpful.

Ok, Carl? Do you know if I can use an AllTrax 4834? or is there someone else who
can supply a more suitable controller?

Thank you Carl,
Thank you Kev and the User's Group too!
Kelle

Hi Kelle, While my Gizmo #31 has a different controller and motor, going by its capabilities you probably have the Curtis 1205-201 Electronic Speed Controller,...

Thankfully, we just got a controller from Nevco. It's a Curtis 1205-209 (D) 36-48v. I am betting we have the car back on the road again this weekend. We will...
