My name is Mike Barra and this is my first post. I've been on
miata.net for some time but don't post much.

I have a 95 Miata as my secondary car and I love it, but of course a
month after buying it I notice the rocker starting to rust through. I
was on the fence as to just fix the panels or just do the whole car,
so I sat on it for a while. Now of course the rust has gotten worse.
I've been around to a number of autobody shops in St. Louis and no
one will touch the car because of the rust.

With all the road salt out here I'm sure some of you must have
undergone this repair before. I'm looking for recommendations on
shops that have done this specific repair, or for individuals in the
club who are capable and willing to do the repair.

Thanks for your time,

Mike Barra

I recently bought a set of BFGoodrich Radial T/A, raised white letter tires, for
my '95 M Edition. They are P205-60-R15 M&S. (steel belted radials) They look
great, beefy, and seem to handle well. I have them mounted on the BBS wheels
that came with the '95 "M" package. They are the largest tire that will fit, and
I like them a lot. Costco would not install them, but NTB did...after checking

They are stock wheels, 185/60-14. I'm leaning towards the Yokohama
AVS Intermediates or the A509. I've got Firestone Infinity on them
now but they are 7 years old and not available any longer. They did a
superb job.

My tire guy is pushing me towards the Bridgestone Potenza RE950.

Thanks for your input.

What size wheels?
I have been very happy with the Kumho ASX's on my RX7
and Focus (16x7 on both), Kumho Ventures on the Safari
van, and even the 185/70/13 Kumhos on my Opel.
Treadwear on the RX7 is not a long as I'd like, but
for the dynamic performance on winding roads and
regular driving in all weather (including snow)and the
decent price, I can buy two sets for the price of
supposedly 'really good' tires.

Check out the Tirerack.com survey results on the ASX.

Hi,

I'm looking to buy new tires for my '92 Miata in the next couple of
days. Does anyone have any recommendations? I like to drive rather
aggressively on curvy roads and I place a fair amount of highway miles
on the car in wet and dry weather. I'm not inclined to take it out in
snow or ice. Any advice and/or comments would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

1995 Merlot "M" Edition Miata (the most collectable Miata model). Just turned
28,000 miles on the "North Country" drive.

It has a matching merlot hardtop, BBS wheels, Radio w/both CD & Cassette,
leather seats, all from the factory.

I had it undercoated & sound proofed by Z-Bart and added mini drivng lights
mounted in the grill. New raised white letter (205-60-R15) tires have approx one
thousand miles on them, and I have all the papers, original window sticker &
service records.

The car is LIKE NEW inside & out, and has never been involved in any kind of an
accident.

The car originally listed (sticker) for $25,470.00, I'm asking $14,000.00.
