I wish I could help but I didn't create the survey, I was asked to email out about it.
I will find out what's happening and who the right person to contact is.

Hi Ian,
I have a problem with the survey. If you respond Yes to the first questions about competing as per previous rounds, other questions aren’t relevant and they don’t have a Not Applicable response so I can’t complete the question. Unless all questions are complete I can’t submit the survey.
Kind Regards, Katie

There is an event for you this weekend in Melbourne ......
The Historic Formula Vee Association of Australia (HFVAA) is holding a "Shed Day" in Victoria, which is open to anyone interested in Historic Formula Vee.
You can bring your car along to:
- Have it checked for historic compliance.
- Get some advice and tips on getting it all together.
or just come along for a chat and something to eat and drink with people who are interested in Historic Formula Vee.
Over the last few days we have worked out via series of emails that this car is Andy's first Kingfisher of this design as this car was nickel bronzed while his later cars were MIG welded. Andy sold this car to Frank Bathgate in 1982.
Of the other Kingfischer's of similar design, around the same time. The car Ray Colenso owned had the gear change moved from the left to the right side of the car before he bought it from Andy (Ray being a open wheel purist). We know where that car is and also where another Kingfischer is that is hiding in WA awaiting a second life.
I have also checked with CAMS regarding the admin paperwork, so we extremely confident of this cars identity.
So now the seller has correct log book number for the cars so the log book can be re-issued and if the new owner wants to make it Historic there is a definate link to it's pre 85 past.
Again thanks to everyone who helped in the FVAV and CAMS.

Hello,
i first started racing my fathers NG Elfin in 2007 when the car became eligible for historic racing, before that we ran the car in sprints and hillclimbs. i found this group through the national website and decided to join. I live in Brisbane and mainly race at morgan park. Dad and I have four historic cars between us, two formula vee and two formula fords. the Two formula Vee's are both Elfins, one is the NG which is chassis # 8226 which we have had for 5 years and the second is an early Elfin 500 chassis # 6719 which i have just aquired.
I have looked at the elfin chassis register on this site and have found that it doesn't correlate to the log book of chassis # 6719... So far i have found out that Pat Lonton only raced the car in 1987 this i can verify, through the record of ownership in the log book. what i have found out is that the car was first raced in Queensland in 1983 by Mark Rowe, who then sold it in late 1984/early 1985 to a Mr Robert Cronshaw. Both of these owners raced the car at lakeside and at surfers. What i am trying to trace now is the history bfor 1983.
This may help others trying to find history on their car/s. I have found most of my information through the log book with the car and also the HRCC Qld library which has race meeting programs and would gladly help others searching for history as well, the only thing is that it is mainly Queensland race meetings after 1974.
This weekend the Historic Vee's (pre 85) hit the track at Eastern Creek
as part of the Tasman Revival Meeting. 11 Historic Vee's from NSW &
Queensland will do battle amongst the Group M & O cars to determine
who's best in making the old girls fly.
Amongst the noise and sideways action of the Formula 5000's and other
historic Classes the Historic Vees will be out for qualifying and a
race on Friday, two races on Saturday and race on Sunday afternoon.
If you're interested in Historic Vees or a driver from the past please
come and visit us in the pits have a chat.

Robert,
Formula Vee started in Queensland in 1980 so anything before that will
most likely be in NSW, Victoria, Tasmania or South Australia.

Just as a matter of interest I was slogging through the list of Peter Ward built Spectre's and I know the where abouts (or fate) of the following chassis.
I
was wondering if anyone has any in-car footage from Winton. Having never
raced there I’m trying to learn as much as I can about the track before I
get there. I’ve seen the footage from the www.fvee.org.au site but am looking for more.
Hi DC,
Found out that Ross Jones' car is Adeliade with Michael Shearer
(basically right under my nose). Thanks for your and Damon's help.

Hi anyone know what happened to Ross Jones. I'd like to get in contact with him.
Please find attached a note about the 2008 Formula
Vee Nationals. So far from the expressions of interest form we have had approx
30 responses but we obviously want more. Please pass this flyer on to all
competitors who may be interested but may not be part of this e-group. We are
keen to see more 1200 cars and Historic cars coming so we can provide separate
races for these competitors.
For those that have registered interest so far we
will be sending an update via e-mail shortly.

MOTORPLEX ORDERS AND JUDGEMENT - Media release On Friday, the long running appeal proceedings brought by Motorplex Australia Pty Limited against Port Stephens Council was dismissed in the NSW Land & Environment Court.
In dismissing the appeal, Commissioner Brown refused the amended development application, and allowed Council until 18 July 2008 to make any application for costs.
In commending this outcome, Council's Group Manager Sustainable Planning, David Broyd, said that throughout the proceedings Council has been consistent with its reasons for refusing the original development application.
"Council has consistently and vigorously adopted the position that the proposed development, and later the various amended development proposals, should be refused," said Mr Broyd.
Mr Broyd also stated the reasons for this refusal included: • significant adverse impacts on threatened species and habitats; • significant adverse impacts on water quality; • significant soil erosion that would result from the construction and operation of the proposed development; • significant adverse noise impacts on nearby rural-residential properties; • significant traffic impacts on local roads and the adjacent Highway, especially at the intersection of the Pacific Highway and Italia Road; • the proposed development being inconsistent with the objective of the 1(a) Rural zone.
Council staff will consider further legal advice on the issue of costs of the proceedings.

It is the ex Steve Cramp, Robert Hlanuda, Barry Noble, Stephen Butcher, Greg Douglass car
I asked Russell Morgan (the previous owner) and seller at the time and he said
"The car went to Victoria, and from memory the guy who bought it wanted it as a second car for hillclimbing, so he didn't have to change over his other vee from track duty, so he is probably involved in racing down there. Sorry, I had a look in my old work diary but I didn't keep any details. Wish I could help you out."
So is anyone keen to fess up to secretly owning it or know who does own it. The reason I ask is to update the ownership register I am working on. I have all the Avanti's done and have tracked down most of the pre 1986 Elfins.
