I have a running 1966 J3000 that I'm having the drivetrain replaced.
When I took out the engine it was running a little hot(200-220)but it
ran well and I had just spent $1,500 on a complete tune up, including
a brand new steering pump. It has a V8 327 Vigilante motor. I believe
the Tranny is a Turbo 400 and the transfer case is a Dana 20. They
have all been pulled and a ready to go. I have removed the shifter
from the Transfer case as I will be reusing it. (the axles will be
available in a few weeks) I need to get rid of these and was hoping
someone was in need of these parts since I would hate to see them go
to a recycler. If anyone knows someone who might be interested they
are located in Orange California and need to be moved quickly. If I
don't hear back from anyone in the next few days I will list it on
ebay or craigs list.
